The most prominent feature of the double shaft paddle mixer is its extremely short mixing time, typically only 60-120 seconds to achieve very high mixing uniformity (CV ≤ 3%). Its mixing mechanism is complex, involving simultaneous convection, shear, and diffusion mixing. It has wide adaptability to materials, achieving mixing even for materials with large specific gravity differences and inconsistent particle sizes. The full-length double-door large opening design allows for fast discharge (typically <10 seconds) and extremely low residue. Although power consumption is slightly higher than that of horizontal ribbon mixers, its mixing efficiency makes it dominant in high-demand premix and concentrate production.

Specifications are indicated by batch mixing volume (liters or kilograms), commonly from 500L to 2000L. The supporting power is relatively high, from 11kW to 55kW. The inner wall of the mixing chamber is precision-machined with a small clearance to the paddles. The main shaft speed is optimized to ensure high-efficiency mixing without generating excessive heat. The equipment can be equipped with a fully automatic control system to precisely control mixing time and liquid addition.

Mainly used in applications requiring extremely high mixing uniformity, such as the production of vitamin premixes, trace mineral premixes, and medicated additive premixes. It is also widely used in the mixing of high-grade concentrate feed and compound feed. It is a key piece of equipment for ensuring precise formulation and stable quality of feed products.
