Divided into walk-behind(single pan)and ride-on(twin pan)models. The engine drives the rotating blade pans which press and smooth the concrete surface. The pan pitch is adjustable:a lower angle for floating and bleeding,a higher angle for finishing/burnishing.A centrifugal clutch ensures smooth start-up.Ergonomic handles on walk-behind models reduce operator fatigue.Ride-on models offer higher efficiency for very large areas.

Walk-behind models are specified by blade pan diameter(e.g.,600mm,800mm,1000mm)and engine power(e.g.,5.5HP,7HP).Speed is typically adjustable from 0-100 rpm.Typically 4 blades per pan.Ride-on models have a working width over 1 meter, larger engines(e.g.,13HP),and often include a water tank system for wet grinding.

Widely used for the final surface treatment of concrete floors requiring high strength, abrasion resistance, and good appearance, such as industrial floors, warehouses, parking lots, and squares. It is the finishing step following leveling, effectively sealing surface pores and increasing density, hardness, and impermeability.
